Header
- Asset : ID of the Asset. Unique to the application.
indicates that the Asset is covered by a Contract valid.
indicates that the warranty from Asset is still valid.
indicates that the Asset is geolocated;
indicates that the Asset is geolocated and Paired. These two icons also allow you to switch to the GIS map on the position of the Asset.
indicates that a Tool/Equipment is related to AssetClicking on this icon opens the details of the associated asset.
- Description : Name of the AssetIt must clearly identify the Asset. Click on
to view or edit the detailed description .
- Image of the Asset : A photo or a floor plan of the Asset will be displayed if there is a mapping or a Document of a "Photo", related to Asset or to its Model.
- Type : The type of equipment allows you to define the category of AssetIf a configuration exists for the specified type, the associated characteristics will be added automatically (after a confirmation message).
- Icon : Icon representing this Asset specifically, if it has been defined, see Icon.
General Information
- Serial number : Unique identifier indicated on the Asset.
- Brand : Brand commercial Asset.
- Model : Model to which the Asset, see Model of the Asset. During the assignment of the model, the copy options are offered. If the equipment type is not specified and the Model has a type, then that type is automatically entered in the Asset.
- Main reading point : Reading point related to this Asset, displayed in theWork order and used for warranty and the calculation of MTBF.
- Cost center : Cost center default allocation of work orders and ContractMore on this Asset.
- Client : Customers to which is attached the Asset.
- Manager : Agent Manager of Asset, default recipient of Work requests on the Asset,
- Criticality : Importance of Asset. The criticality of Asset sets the priority of work orders on this Asset.
- Repairable : Check this box if the Asset is repairable (informative).
- Contact Person : Check this box if the Asset is used as an identifier for a set of Asset in the Work ordersIn this case, when the Asset is entered in the work order, CARL Source searches its parent records for the first Asset reference and displays it in the work order.
- Availability group : The availability groups apply only to Asset references.
When creating a record, directly entering a model with an equipment type allows you to quickly define and initialize many properties of the Asset in a single step.
Assignment
- Organization : Organization to which the Asset.
- Geographic parent, main parent and father Asset : Structure points (geographic and main) and Asset to which the Asset. Can only be modified upon creation of the Asset
- Warehouse and location : Fill in if the Asset is a Item serialized, stored in a Warehouse to a Bin given.
A Asset In stock cannot be linked to another piece of equipment in the Tree structure.
Life cycle
- Status : Current status of the Asset. See Reports on Asset.
- Last inventory : Date provided for informational purposes only.
- Commissioning : Date of release of the Asset for use.
- Date and rejection reason : Displayed for Asset scrap.
Warranty
- Warranty : Type of warranty on the Asset. If the Asset is under warranty, this information will be displayed on the work order, provided that the warranty module is "All" or "Tasks".
- Warranty expiration date : Date on which the warranty expires.
- Reading point value : Value of the Reading point for which the warranty expires. Accessible if the Reading point main Asset is entered, and that it is a counter.
Main address
This block retrieves the primary address defined in the [Addresses].
These fields are hidden by default.
To make them visible, you must
- Enter customization mode,
- Click on "Show all hidden controls",
- Select all Address fields,
- Click on "Hide the control",
- Confirm.
This information block allows you to
- Enter the address, ZIP code, city, state, and country;
- Or, select a public worksIn this case, the fields (address, etc.) are filled in automatically.
The icon

allows you to switch to the
GIS map at the listed address.
When creating a
Asset from the
GIS map, the address retrieved from the Map is automatically transferred to the [
Addresses] as the primary address.
The action "
Set the main address on the Map " accessible via the icon menu

allows you to change the primary address of a
Asset but directly via the Map.
