The mapping principle is to associate drawings or photos with Structures and any equipment (Structure points, Assets, Template, Family) and to be able to identify and reach the various components of your installed equipment graphically.
A mapping consists of:
- A map background, a document from the library,
- A list of reservations, that is, active areas where a click will allow you to navigate to another mapping or to the details of an equipment item.
The mapping associated with the equipment is displayed in the installed equipment tree structure and in the equipment detail form.
If only the structure is specified, the mapping is displayed in the installed equipment tree structure on the corresponding tab when no element is selected.
One (and only one) mapping can be associated with an equipment item for each structure.
In this way, the displayed mapping may be different depending on the selected tree structure tab; for example:
- A photo for a geographical tree structure,
- A drawing for a main tree structure.
A mapping may be displayed with the home screen; see the GIS component.
Creating a GIS mapping
From the GIS mapping function
- In the [Equipment] module, select the [MappingGIS term] function
→ The list of mappings is displayed.
- Select "Simple creation" in the creation icon menu

→ The Create a GIS mapping form is displayed.
From the tree structure
- In the [Equipment] module, select the [Equipment tree structure] function
→ The tree structure is displayed.
- In the tab where the mapping is to be created, select the equipment concerned (by clicking its icon)
→ The [General] and [Indicators] tabs for the equipment are displayed.
- On the actions menu
, select "Create a GIS mapping"
→ The Create a GIS mapping form is displayed.
