Structure points allow you to represent the organizational structure of the entities to be maintained and also to consolidate hierarchical information, see Equipment tree structure.

 

They can be categorized by the structures the following standards:

•  Geographic: location of equipment,
•  Main: general organization of equipment based on its role or other criteria.
•  Function: dedicated to grouping points or Asset into coherent subsets.

 

You can rename these structures and also create your own additional structure types.
A structure point must be created if:

• It contains Asset To be continued,
• It may be the subject of or the focus ofWork order.

 

Based on the data entered into CARL Source, you can consolidate the data and view various indicators regarding your facilities:

• Number and causes of work orders completed,
• Maintenance costs,
• etc.

 

Examples

• A geographical location A region may have cities as its "children," which in turn have facilities as their "children."
• A main structural point It could be the heating system, which will have the following points as its components:radiator" and "boiler", which will contain the following: Asset the various radiators and boilers in the system.
• A functional structure point could be the entire "transportation".
  The traction assembly is contained within the Asset TRAIN_A1 and contains the Asset ROUE_A1R1, ROUE_A1R2, etc.

Linear assets are arranged along an axis or route and are defined by kilometer markers or reference points. This information must be entered for assets belonging to the "LINEAR" grouping type in the "Streets" tab.

Definition of a structure point

From the structure point detail screen, the settings menu It allows you to:

• Equipment events : view the events occurring at the structure point.

 

From the structure point detail screen, the actions menu It allows you to:

• Characteristic Management : Switch to the feature to manage the bulk addition, modification, and deletion of one or more Characteristics derived from the Structure point, which may affect other equipment.
• Record Reading Points : Take a reading at a reading point on the structure.
• View Reading Points : opens the list of reading points for the structural element.
• Position a Asset on a GIS map : Opens the GIS map and allows you to associate or modify the equipment’s location.
• Delete location: deletes the geometric data associated with the equipment.
• Pair a Asset on a GIS map : opens the GIS map and allows you to associate a GIS feature with the equipment.
• Unpair: removes the link between the CARL equipment and the GIS feature. The geometric data associated with the equipment is retained.

 

From the structure point detail screen, numerous tracking and history features The following are available:

• View the GIS mapping, if any,
• Link history,
• History of measurement readings : tracking of readings from the Reading point From a structural standpoint,
• Equipment tracking.
• History of remote assistance.
