This function allows you to prepare, track, and archive maintenance work orders by incorporating the information and processing associated with the performance of the work.

 

Source of a work order

A work order can be created:

• In response to a WR (see Taking a WR into account),
• By a Work order plan when the triggering conditions are met,
• To respond to an identified need not formalized in the application.

 

Preparation and progress of a work order

The progress of a work order is described in detail in its preparation and then updated in the course of the work order:

• Source: the context in which the work order was created; Work order [Source].
• Operations to be performed, Work order [Operations].
• Items required to implement it, Work order [Supplies].
• Human resources needed,
  • Internal: Work order [Labor].
  • External: Work order [Subcontracting].
• Physical resources needed: Work order [Resources]
• WRs to which the work order applies and links between work orders, Work order [Association].
• Safety: risks and precautions to take, Work order [Safety].
• Free text for details about the work order, Work order [Comment].

 

The information is then entered in CARL Source as it is implemented:

• Operations performed,
• Hours spent by technicians,
• Usage time for material resources,
• Supplies and services used.

This data allows you to track the progress and cost of the work order.

 

Managing work orders in CARL Source will allow you to better identify your needs and use of preventive and corrective maintenance by evaluating:

• The distribution of work orders and their costs according to source and type of work, for each equipment item,
• The difference between the estimate and the revision,
• Changes in the costs of your equipment,
• The time needed to process requests,
• The labor of your teams and disciplines,
• The amortization of maintenance contracts .

 

Traceability of the work order

CARL Source keeps a record of the work order preparation information before validation to allow you to compare the estimate and the revision.

• To view the initial estimate of a validated work order, use the action "View an estimate."
• In order to display the costs of the work order from its preparation to its completion, use the "Access to costs" action; see Work order: Costs.
