In this tab you fill in the list of items necessary and used for the work order.
Necessary items
The items required to perform the work order are to be filled in on this list.
At the time of work order validation (or when saving a validated work order):
- A purchase request or an order (depending on the selected "Type of purchasing generated by work orders" setting) stemming from a work order will be created automatically for items where the supplier is stated.
- Other items will be reserved (whether the warehouse is specified or not).
From the creation menu
, choose:
- Multiple creation, to add one or more items referenced in CARL Source
→ The list of items is displayed; tick the ones you want to add.
- Or the creation of a line, to add an item not necessarily referenced
→ A line is opened in creation mode.
- Item: Identifier of the item in CARL Source. If you add an item not referenced in CARL Source, do not fill it in.
-
Supplier/warehouse:
- If the item is managed in stock, you may need to enter information for a warehouse
→ on confirmation, this will generate a reservation on inventory.
The warehouse is required in the event of a
reorder by a warehouse.
- Name: You must fill in this name or the supplier reference to specify the need if the item is not referenced in the system. Otherwise, the name is initialized with that of the referenced item and cannot be changed.
- Supplier ref: Supplier reference of the item. Filled in automatically if it is included in the application for the selected item/supplier link.
- Planned date: Expected delivery date. Calculated by the application according to the time needed to procure the item from the supplier.
Planned date = Today's date + + supply lead time.
- Discount: Discount applied by the supplier for this item.
- Quantity: Number of copies of the item required for the work order.
- Unit: Unit in which the quantity is expressed.
- Total exc. tax: This is the total amount of the item Excluding Taxes. It is automatically calculated if the terms of item purchase from the specified supplier are known in CARL Source, but you can change it. It is not filled in for reserved items.
- PR/PO: used to access the purchase request generated for this item. If there has not been a PR, the PO is displayed.
- Resources needed: Free text referring to all the supplies of the work order (to be filled in before validation of the work order; see Work order: View the estimate).
