This function allows you to draw up a parts list of the inventory of spare parts and Assets.

You can thus manage their inventory and facilitate purchase requests and POs.

All of the items are structured in tree fashion through the family tree structure.

 

Each item has a detail sheet making it possible to:

• review the technical characteristics; see Item [General],
• define the composition of the items and replacement items; see Item [Components] and Item [Approved items],
• identify storage premises or warehouses; see Item [Storage detail],
• adapt the inventory level by incorporating supply settings, out-of-inventory detections, and supplier requirements; see Item [Supply],
• know the purchasing terms with suppliers; see Item [Catalog].

About items

Numerous actions are accessible from the item sheet; see Around the item.

 

Item statuses

Status management allows you to track items that you no longer use, either temporarily or permanently.

• Active: The item is used.
• Inactive: The item is no longer used. Purchase requests and inventory movements are not possible for this item, but it can be re-enabled.

  An item may be disabled if certain conditions are met:

  • the quantities in inventory are zero,
  • there are no associated current quotations,
  • it is not linked to a potentially modifiable prepared inventory (i.e., for which the status is neither "Canceled" nor "Closed").
• Canceled: The item will never again be used. This status is irreversible.
