The equipment event function allows for tracking the life of a machine, building, etc., any noteworthy event that does not require a work order.

As a supplement to work orders, events provide a complete history of an equipment item.
If the symptom is an equipment trigger condition, the event triggers implementation of the work order plan associated with the
symptom and the equipment .

- between the various symptoms in order to refine the maintenance tree; see Troubleshooting assistance,
