The Asset These are repairable or mobile devices that fall within the scope of maintenance.
Equipment Asset It should be monitored whenever it plays a role in one of the business processes:
- Tracking work orders,
- Reading follow-up for reading points,
- Or any other area of interest to users.
A Asset This can be a machine, a vehicle, an instrument, an industrial facility, a computer, a linear component, etc.
It is possible to configure two groups of types of Asset individuals so that they are treated as Asset specific at the detail record level and its associated processes (Work request, Work order, WO report)
Linear assets are arranged along an axis or route and are defined by kilometer markers or reference points. This information must be entered for assets belonging to the "LINEAR" grouping type in the "Streets" tab.
Based on the data entered into CARL Source, you can view various indicators regarding your equipment:
- Costs related to work orders, replacement parts, and consumption (Reading points),
- Number and causes of work orders completed,
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF),
- Etc.

It allows you to:
- Equipment events : view the events occurred on the Asset.

It allows you to:
- Characteristic Management : Switch to the feature to manage the bulk addition, modification, and deletion of one or more Characteristics derived from the Asset, which may affect other equipment.
- Record Reading Points : Take a reading at a reading point Asset.
- View reading points : opens the list of reading points for the Asset.
- Position a Asset on a GIS map : Opens the GIS map and allows you to associate or modify the equipment’s location.
- Delete location: deletes the geometric data associated with the equipment.
- Pair a Asset on a GIS map : opens the GIS map and allows you to associate a GIS feature with the equipment.
- Unpair: removes the link between the CARL equipment and the GIS feature. The geometric data associated with the equipment is retained.

- History of measurement readings : tracking of readings from the Reading point from Asset,
