Families are used to organize the various types of managed equipment models or items in a structured way.

The classification of models/items according to families makes it possible to:

• facilitate model/item searches using the family tree structure,
• display consolidated summaries according to family: inventory movements, corresponding costs, etc.

A family is a special structure .

 

Families can be handled:

• "on line" with the family function of the [Inventory] module
• "in the tree structure" with the Equipment tree structures function of the [Equipment] module

 

Statuses of a family

• In preparation: In the construction stage.
• Pending validation: The definition is completed, but the family has not yet been validated and therefore cannot be used.
• Validated: Items can be linked to the family.
• Inactive: The family is no longer being used. It can still be re-enabled.
• Canceled: The family will never be used again. This status is irreversible.
