A material resource is a physical resource used to perform work orders.

It is associated with a team and is characterized by:

• A "discipline"; see Material resources [General],
• a piece of linked equipment; see Material resources [General],
• its cost price and hours of availability; see Material resources [Costs].

Its availability (or non-availability) are filled in via its calendar; see Material resources calendar and Material resources [Calendar].

 

Material resource timetable

If a piece of linked equipment is filled in for a material resource, the calendar for this equipment is used as the calendar for the material resource.
If the linked equipment is deleted or there is no equipment linked to the resource, the calendar for the material resource is that of the material resource itself.

Based on the calendar, the material resource's schedule will be built according to the assignment of the resource to work orders:

• Work orders [Material resources] tab,
• Scheduling of resources function.

Subsequently, the time spent on various tasks will be completed in the work order reports, see Work orders [Material resources].

 

Material resource statuses

Status management enables you to track material resources, even after cancellation.

• In preparation: The material resource may be entered and completed. The linked equipment can be changed.
• Validated: The material resource is currently part of the resources.
• Inactive: The material resource cannot be assigned to a work order at this time, but it can be re-enabled.
• Canceled: The material resource is no longer available. Any linked equipment is deleted from the material resource. This status is irreversible.

Material resource schedule

• Report: You can print the schedules of material resources over a two-week period, in the "Scheduling of the availabilities of material resources over a two-week period" report.
• View: You can view the scheduling of material resources.
• Unplanned absence: In the event of the absence of a material resource for which work orders have been assigned, use the scheduling of resources function to:
