The material resource calender is used to:
- Identify whether a material resource is overbooked (when planning work orders).
- Check the duration of use of a material resource relative to the availabilities on the calendar.
When an equipment item is linked to a material resource, the equipment calendar is shared for the material resource. If the linked equipment is not completed or is deleted, the asset has its own calendar.
Principle
Prerequisites:
Building calendars is broken down into:
- Defining standard times for a material resource: for each day of a standard week, create a line for each time range.
- Copying and importing: once a standard week has been established, copy the times to the period where they are valid and to the material resources with an identical calendar.
- Entering exceptions as they arise from day to day: when there are exceptions to the standard week (vacation, training, etc.), delete and replace the time ranges of the affected days.
