This form contains the primary information on an equipment template.

• Template: Identifier of the template. Cannot be identical to that of an existing template or item.
• Name: Name of the template, which must clearly identify the template. Click on to view or change the detailed description.
• Image of the template: A photo or drawing of the template will be displayed if there is a document of the "Photo" type linked to the template. This image will also appear on the points and items characterized by this template, if they do not have their own linked document.

 

General

• Status: An inactive or canceled template cannot be associated with an equipment item.
• Icon: Icon symbolizing this precise template if it has been defined; see Icon.
• Family: Family to which the template belongs. For locating it in the family tree structure.
• Cost center: Cost center: allocation cost center of the cost of equipment of this template.
• Manufacturer: Manufacturer of the template. This is not necessarily the supplier, but it must be referenced among the suppliers of CARL Source.
• Work order plan template: Work order plan template offered as default for the creation of the Work order plan for template assets.
• Equipment type: Initializes the type of equipment characterized by this template.

 

Copy management

• Taken into account when generating equipment: When creating equipment from a template and its components, only templates that have this box checked will be used to create the equipment; see Generating equipment from templates.
• Equipment with an identical template: When creating equipment from templates or when duplicating, the equipment will be characterized by this template only if this box is checked; see Generating equipment from templates and Duplicating equipment.

 

Referring asset

• Referrer: To be checked if the equipment of this template are referring assets.
• Availability group: Availability group to which asset of this template belong as default.

 

Renewal

• Service life, Annual increase, and Budget: This data is used to initialize the Asset renewal settings; see Asset [Purchasing].
