In numerous functions, data exported from the result list can be reimported:
- Custom forms,
- Customization of names,
- Reports: exported and imported with the associated .rptdesign file,
- Indicators and Dashboards,
- Documents in the library: exported and imported with the file of any attachment,
- Dictionary,
- Configuration lists: Skills, Currencies, Symptoms, Accounting codes, Characteristics, etc.
To do this, the data must have been exported in the XML format according to the procedure described in Exporting data.
Procedure
- From the function in question, select "Import data" on the actions menu of the screen

→ An uploading pop-up is opened.
- In the pop-up:
- Using the "Browse..." button, select the xml file to be imported,
- Uncheck the "Update authorized" box if the existing elements must not be changed,
- Click on the "Send" button,
→ The list of elements contained in the file is displayed.
The "Update" box indicates whether the elements are already present in the database.
If it is checked, the element will be imported over the existing one only if the "Update authorized" box is checked.
If it is checked, the element will be imported over the existing one only if the "Update authorized" box is checked.
- Check the elements to be imported and click on the "OK" button.
If all the items are to be imported, do not check any.
→ The selected components are added to the list or updated if they already existed.
The size of imported files cannot exceed the size indicated in System configuration, UploadFileDataMaxSize setting.
