Characteristics are special properties that you will create to qualify:
They are generated on the fly from previously established characteristics templates.
Characteristics may be of any type:
- free text, date, price: the value is to be entered by the user,
- values list: the value is to be selected by the user from among the values on a standard or customized list,
- entity or list of choices: the value is a reference to an entity to be selected by the user from a list using search criteria as appropriate.
Characteristics are grouped by topic and/or Group, allowing you to filter the characteristics to be displayed on an element when there are a large number of them.
- Topics can be configured and associated with the characteristics template, remaining identical and generic for all characteristics carried by entities.
- The Groups can be configured and allow a specific grouping for the characteristic, which can be changed on each characteristic of entities. This possibility allows you to define sets of properties added to each entity that do not depend on the topic, which has a more generalist concept.
- Important: This concept allows you to identify a property to be highlighted for the entity, and to display it in the appropriate side widget if it is present and configured for the entity carrying the property.

Examples of characteristics
- "General" topic:
- The date and/or time of start of service,
- The purchaser, which will be on the "Choice of active agents" selection list.
- "Technical" topic
- The power in watts,
- The material, which will lead to a customized list containing the items STAINLESS STEEL, TEFLON, VITON, and STEEL.
- "Maintenance" topic
- The brand name,
- The type of refill,
- The regulatory inspection company, which will be a "Choice of active suppliers" selection list.
