CARL Source forms can be fully adapted to your needs. You can thus change:

• display settings: colors, names, font, size, visibility,
• attribute controls: character required or not, default value,
• triggered jobs: addition of a script,
• the complete content and organization of the form: arrangement of items, addition of tabs, attributes, buttons, columns, etc.

These form modifications will then take effect for users of the customization group or groups that are linked to them, unless the form is public, in which case it will be applied to all users.

You can create a custom form for each variation of the form, according to the group of users.

Example:

If a group of users accesses a restricted view of the "Item" form and another group uses an enriched view of the same form,
→ Create two customizations: "ITEM_SIMPLE" and "ITEM_COMPLEX."

 

Accessing the list of custom forms

1. In the [System] module, select the [Custom forms] function.
   → The list of custom forms is displayed.

2. If desired, select the [Criteria] tab, enter the search criteria and click the [Results] tab.
   → The list of custom forms corresponding to the criteria is displayed.

 

Exchange custom forms

You can export a set of custom forms coming from one instance of CARL Source and import them into another.
This can be useful for exchanging custom forms between the production database and the example database, or any other database.
