Managing rights

CARL Source is capable of managing rights according to several aspects:

• Accessing functions, with profiles,
• Accessing data, with groups and criteria for data access restriction,
• Organization, if the application is used to manage a number of separate organizations.

 

System agents

Once the rights have been defined, you will create agents that will comprise:

• The users of the application,
• The maintenance technicians who can also be users, of course, but also referenced external resources who do not use CARL Source.

 

Configuration

CARL Source broad capabilities in terms of configuration and customization:

• Describe equipment with specific attributes thanks to characteristics,
• Customize the content of CARL Source drop-down lists and create your own drop-down lists with the [List of values] function,
• Create print reports corresponding to your needs by customizing reports,
• Adjust forms to your use by group of users,
• Access the dictionary to obtain optimum use of the CARL Source data structure,
• Access the system configuration to configure settings controlling the application's general behavior,
• Go to right field configuration to configure the data in the information field.

 

Documentation

In CARL Source, you can attach documents to most elements: contracts, plans, photos, etc.

Documents to be shared are placed in the Library.

The administrator defines the types of documents and storage locations of attachments.
