A profile is defined by:

 

When you create a profile, several areas of authorization are to be filled in:

  1. For each function, you must indicate:
  1. For each object subject to status management, you must specify:
    • The status changes authorized, e.g. validating a purchase request,
    • The actions authorized according to the status, e.g. creating a directly validated work order, changing a validated work order plan, etc.

A user has only one profile
→ each profile must cover all the functions useful to the user.

 

Standard profile

A standard profile is a profile provided on installation of the CARL Source application.
For this type of profile, it is possible to modify all information, with the exception of profile nodes and the associated workflow statues.

This profile cannot be deleted.

 

Read/write rights for functions controlled by the license

Control of use of a module (sized in terms of number of "Named Users" or number of "Simultaneous connections") relates to access rights and the actions available as set out in the user profile.

Within the tree structure, the icon indicates the sections of the profile affected by the license.
