Enabling the Grid mode
When upgrading to CARL Source version 6.0, the mechanism for positioning fields changes so that their layout adapts to the size of screens.
Prior to this version, field layout was based on X/Y positioning (value in pixels with respect to the left side of the page/value in pixels with respect to the top of the page).
Since version 6.0, an algorithm transposes the X/Y positioning into a layout in the form of a grid on a screen.
By default, positioning by grid is enabled for search screens and detail screens. For others, operation is identical to that used prior to CARL Source version 6.0.
From each list and detail type screen, the settings 
menu allows you to:
- Disable the grid mode on a screen (from the "Disable grid formatting" action),
- Enable the grid mode on a screen from the "Enable grid-type formatting" action.
For customized forms, the grid mode can be enabled/disabled directly in the Customized forms function.
