From one form to the next in CARL Source, actions are always taken according to the same ergonomics.

Deleting an element

An element may be deleted under conditions that may vary depending on the functions.

Deletion is not possible in the following cases:

• The element has a status that forbids deletion. For example, a work order in progress cannot be deleted.
• The element is referenced by another element, such as a technician in a work order.

 

Procedure:

To delete one or more elements:

1. Open the result list containing them; see Result form,
2. Check the elements to be deleted,
3. Click on the delete icon .

 

Adding an element

Whether to create an element or add an element to a list, the icon is still the same .

If several ways of adding or creating are possible, you can display the options by positioning the cursor on the icon and then selecting the appropriate one.
The alternatives can be:

• Simple creation,
• Duplication: in a list of results, this option in the creation menu for the list applies to the single item checked,
• Adding assets /structure points,
• And so on.

 

Creating several elements consecutively

If you need to make numerous successive creations, bear in mind that a click on the creation icon saves the current form before opening another form for creation.
The same is true if you use the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl+Enter].
