A work order can be created:

• To follow through with a WR from the [Taking a WR into account] function, see Accepting a WR or Processing a WR.
• From the [Work order] function,
• From [Work order report],
• From an equipment item selected from an equipment tree structure.

Prerequisites

• To have created equipment items with authorized work orders; see Creating an asset, Creating a structure point.
• To have created at least one work order type,
• To have created at least one cost center,
• To have configured the priorities; see Values list,
• Be connected with a profile having the "Create a work order" right (see Changing a profile).

Procedure

1. In the [Work] module, select the [Work order] function.
   → The list of work orders is displayed.
   
   
2. Place the cursor on the add icon .
   → The creation menu is displayed.
   
   
   • Either you select "Simple creation"
     → The work order detail form is displayed for creation purposes; see Work order [General].
     
     
   • Or you select "Duplicate"
     → The duplication form is displayed; see Work order: Duplicate.

Creation from the [Report] function

When you create a work order from the [Work order report] function, this function immediately has the "In progress" status.

You can also create a new work order that refers to the same equipment:

• By selecting "Create a new unlinked work order" on the creation menu ,
• Using "Create a linked work order." In this case, the new work order will additional be associated with the current one; see Work order [Association].

Creation from the tree structure

1. Select the Asset, structure point (with the Work order is authorized), or the template from the equipment tree structures.
   
   
2. On the actions menu , choose "Create a work order."
   → The work order detail form is opened. The equipment selected there is filled in.
