Prerequisites
- To have created, if applicable, the Template of the Asset.
Procedure
From the link tree structure
- In the [Equipment] module, select the [Equipment tree structure] function.
→ The tree structure form is displayed.
- Select the tab of the structure where you wish to position the equipment.
- If applicable, select the point or Asset that will be the parent of the asset in the structure, then choose the following on the creation menu

- Creation of an Asset , for a single instance of creation,
→ The Item detail form is displayed in the creation mode; see Asset [General].
When the form is closed, the new Asset will be added to the tree structure where you have created it. - Creation of equipment by copying templates for multiple creation from templates.
→ The left-hand pane is displayed for entering the copy settings; see Generating equipment from templates. - Duplicating equipment" for multiple creation from existing Assets:.
→ A copy configuration pane is displayed; see Duplicating equipment.
From the [Assets] function
- In the [Equipment] module, select the [Items] function.
→ The list of Assets is displayed.
- On the add icon , select:
- Single creation for a single creation,
→ The Item detail form is displayed in the creation mode; see Asset [General]. - Generating equipment for multiple creation from templates.
→ The creation information pop-up is displayed; see Generating equipment from templates.
Automatic creation - From the [PR/PO] functions
Assets originating from an inventory purchase can be created automatically, if two-stage reception is used, from a PR or PO relating to serialized items originating from inventory.
The Assets are created with "In preparation" status, when entered into stock or when received (depending on the value of the setting DELIV _CREAT_EQUIPMENT in the Purchasing Module).
The automatically created Asset codes depend on the definition in the Automatic coding.
