If CARL Source is used in an international context, i.e. by users in different countries and using different time zones, it is possible to enter, search and view timestamped data in the desired time zone, so that the data is comprehensible for all users.
Implementation
The application's time zone is entered in System configuration. Each user/agent is by default associated with the application's time zone.
For each user/agent, the administrator can select another time zone from those defined in Configuration of time zones.
Thus, when connection to CARL Source, users work in their own time zone.
On-the-fly changes
Expanding the section accessible by clicking on the name of the connected user (top right), the
icon provides access to a list of time zones (defined in Time zone configuration). This enables users to switch dynamically between their own time zone and another time zone.
The next time that the user logs on to CARL Source, the application will once again be displayed in their default time zone, i.e., that entered on their user sheet.
Creation
When a new entity is created, it is automatically recorded in the user session time zone.
Example: A user associated with the Europe/Paris time zone creates a new work order.
The "Date-time" fields of this work order will be expressed in the Europe/Paris time zone.
By adding a new record, and calling up an infozone, the search results can be automatically filtered to ensure the consistency of the data. This applies only in the following contexts:

Customization
In an international context, you can, if necessary, filter or display each item of timestamped data in the time zone of your choice. To this end, the following customization possibilities are available:
Reports and printing
In an international context, you can, if necessary, print reports using data calculated in the time zone of your choice.
