List of reports

This form allows you to select the report to be displayed and/or printed; see Reports and printing.

Before printing, either a preview is displayed or the file is generated, depending on the selected format. In this way you can check the report contents.

Output format

You can choose to generate the report via:

the viewer, which will allow you to export the data to other formats,
a file (PDF, DOC, XLS, ODT, etc.) which you can save or print directly,
a PDF file, which will include the linked documents, if the report was designed to include them, that is, essentially detail forms. This choice causes an error if the report contains settings.

The output format offered by default in this form can be specified in the dictionary, REPORTCHOOSETABLEANIM object, printFormat attribute, values: HTML_VIEWER, PDF, LINKED_DOCS.

The default format for printing done from other forms is defined by the value of BIRTDefaultReportFormat (HTML or PDF) in the System configuration.

Output time zone

In a multi-time zone context, you can choose the time zone for output of the report.

By default, the output time zone offered is:

That of the user's session, if the list of reports is called up from a search form;
That of the entity, if the list of reports is called up from a detail form.

You can opt to print the report in another time zone, choosing from those defined in Configuration of time zones.

On the printed report, date-time fields in the report are expressed in the previously selected output time zone.

The date and time of report printing (shown in the footer) is always expressed in the time zone of the user session in which it was printed.

Reports list of the function

Name: Name of the report.
Category: Type of report: list, details, or analysis (consolidated data).
Default report: To be checked so that the report can be opened directly without going through the list of reports; see Default report.
