In order for CARL Source agents to be informed immediately about events concerning them, CARL Source automatically sends electronic messages when actions are taken:
- Creation or change of status of an element,
- Value reached by a reading point,
- Value reached by an indicator,
- Error in the execution of an automatic job.
Some actions are already configured for email sending, for example:
- When a Work request (WR) is created or transferred, the addressee receives an email,
- The issuer of a WR or a purchase request is warned of status changes to their request,
- A reading point has reached a critical value,
- An order is issued and the order form is sent to the supplier electronically.
You can also define your own message triggering events; see Configuration of message templates.
In the message template, you define the subject and body of the message that will be sent in each particular case. You can use dynamic expressions to incorporate context-specific information into the subject or body of the message. For example:
- The code and symptom of the WR,
- The planned start date of the work order; see Dynamic message.
The message addressees can be deduced from the message sending context.
See Management of message templates and Examples of message templates.
Some message templates are identified as Standard. These templates cannot be modified and are used by the publisher for communication purposes. They are not intended to be used or modified by users of the application.
