Once a message template is create or adapted, you must indicate under which circumstances it is to be sent by CARL Source.

The addressees in question are indicated as a function of the context.

If a message template is "Disabled" or "Cancelled," no email is sent.

For these case, the message template is to be defined in the main corresponding setting:

 

Sending of a message based on an indicator

You can automate the sending of messages when an indicator reaches a given value.

If the indicator takes an entity type as a setting, the same entity must be indicated in the "Referenced entity" field of the message template.

 

Sending of a message based on an automatic job

You can configure the automatic sending of an email in order to be notified of an error in the execution of an automatic job.

 

Sending of a message upon creation or change of status

Several events are configured as default to trigger the sending of an email. You can configure other events to trigger the sending of an email.

The text of the message may contain the status change details, in the form of a dynamic expression.

 

Examples

Sending upon creation of a purchase request

You have entered the message template PRCREATE, which must be sent for information to the person entered in the "Sender" field upon creation of the purchase request, whether the purchase request is created with the "In preparation" or "Pending validation" status.

 

Sending upon validation of a purchase request

You have entered the message template PRACCEPT, which must be sent to the respective agents having issued and validated the purchase request.
