For each removal of an item from inventory there must be an inventory withdrawal so that the inventory status is accurate in CARL Source.

You can enter withdrawals in this function of the [Inventory] module, but you can also declare them in the work order by entering an item consumption (see Work order [Completed] [Supply]).

An item withdrawal is forbidden:

  1. If the quantity is greater than the quantity in inventory, unless the user is entitled to make withdrawals from zero inventory as a result of their profile (in this case, an "inventory settlement" movement is generated).

  2. If it results in a quantity in inventory below the reserved quantity and the "Check reservation" check box is checked for the Item.

Procedure

  1. In the [Inventory] module, select the [Withdrawal] function.
→ The withdrawal form is displayed.

If you have filled in a work order that includes reservations not yet used (see Work order [Supplies]), the "Reservation" button is active.

  3. Add a line per item to be withdrawn by clicking on the add icon .
→ A line is added in creation mode. The item, warehouse, and quantity must be filled in.
If the quantity of the item in inventory is insufficient, look for replacement items by selecting "Substitute items" in the infozone of the item .

  4. You can delete the checked lines by clicking on the delete icon .
→ The selected lines are deleted.

  5. Confirm your entry by clicking on the confirm icon .
→ The withdrawals are recorded, the inventory is updated, and the form is closed.

Parts list enrichment:

If the withdrawal is done for a work order in which the model is filled in, CARL Source proposes enriching the parts list with the model for all items whose family is characterized as "Parts list taken into account."
This is done automatically if the "Automatic updating of nomenclature enrichment" box is checked in the user’s Profile.
