This tab contains a general description of the family.

For rules on how to use the fields, see Detail form.

• Family (required): Identifier of the family, unique in the application. Choose a term to identify the family.
• Name: Name of the family.
• Status: Family current status.
• Icon: Icon representing the family on the [FAMILY] tab of the equipment tree structures. There is an icon dedicated to families, but you can define one in particular for each family.
• Parent: Family to which this family belongs. You can manage the family hierarchy in graphical form; see Modifying links between families.
• Parts list taken into account: indicates whether the items in the family are to be taken into account forautomatic nomenclature enrichment of the templates.
• Type of purchase: Purchase typeby default for items in this family.
