This form contains the list of criteria for restricting access to data, which are used in the description of restricted access groups; see Access restriction criteria.
Description of list fields
- Module: The CARL Source module to which the entity belongs for information purposes (Work, Equipment, etc.).
- Entity: An object in the dictionary to which the restriction applies: work order, purchase request, etc.
- Criterion: The attribute of the element, the value of which will determine the user's rights. The name of the attribute is that used in the development of the application. Attributes eligible for the criterion role may be designated in the dictionary.
Each entity can only be used for a single criterion.
Adding a criterion
- Click on the add icon

→ The list of entities is displayed; see Choice of entities.
- Check the desired entity or entities, then confirm
.
→ The entities are added to the list of criteria.
- Select the entity and, from the drop-down list, choose the attribute that will be used as a criterion.
→ The entity is now available for defining groups.
If you cannot find the attribute you desire, check the
Access restriction box of the object attribute in the
dictionary.
Modifying or deleting a criterion
You may only modify or delete a criterion if it is not being used in any restricted access groups.
- Change: select the function and then choose another criterion on the drop-down list.
- Deletion: select the corresponding functions and click on the delete icon
