When I select an element, the application opens its detail form instead of selecting it.

To select an element to be incorporated, click on the radio button to the left of the element.

I would like to access another CARL Source function without leaving the current one and without reconnecting.

To open a new window, click on the button in the toolbar. Another CARL Source session is opened in the same browser. There, you can access the functions that you wish without impacting the browsing of the other session.

As default, a maximum of 3 windows can be opened. If this number is exceeded, the context will be lost for older ones.
Disconnecting one window causes the session to be closed and consequently the connection is lost for all open windows.
In versions prior to V4, clicking on the logo opened a new window; it now returns you to the home screen.

In certain fields, the value is almost always the same. How can default values be defined?

You can define a default value for each function:

valid for the data access group; see Data access.
valid regardless of the user, in the attributes of the Dictionary; see Dictionary [Attributes], last field.

How can controls that were previously hidden or absent as default be displayed?

Use the button to show/hide the controls according to your needs; see Appearance of controls.

The control I placed on a group is not visible.

To be visible in a group, the control must be on a higher layer. Before placing the control in a section, assign layer 0 to the section and then layer 1 to the control.

How to customize the columns of a table?

It is possible to create one's own Columns; see Control details; it is also possible to modify the properties of existing columns; see Properties of controls.

How do you upload a large file?

When uploading a file in order to import data or to create a customized report, CARL Source checks that the size of the file does not exceed the size indicated in the System configuration on the CARL Source server, for the setting UploadFileDataMaxSize.

Modification of this setting will be taken into account once the sever is rebooted.

The maximum size can also be specified by customizing the field containing the name of the file to be imported ("Maximum size" attribute).

The print icon does not appear in the result form. How to print?

The print button only appears if there is at least one report associated with the function. If there are none for a given function, a report must be created and associated with the function.
The print icon will then appear automatically for the function.

How do I know if my page is loading?

When a page is loading, the logo (image) above the menu flashes.
When the page has finished loading, this logo stops flashing.

If the logo is black, this means that the system is not responding and there is an underlying problem.
