The quote is used to respond to a request from a customer regarding an intervention service.
It will appear in the process of SR, but also in the intervention process.
A quote can be created from the [Quote] feature or directly from the intervention.
A quote can be created independently or from:
- an intervention (see below),
- a SR,
- or another quote (duplication).
A quote ("In preparation") can be generated from an intervention ("In preparation").
Conversely, an accepted quote can generate a new intervention ("In preparation"), or reset an existing intervention.
To use the [Customers] and [Quotes] features within the [Work] module, you need to activate the standard custom forms prefixed with "CUSTOMER_":
Quote statuses
Status management allows you to know at which stage the quote is.
- In preparation: The quote is being entered.
- Pending validation: The quote has not yet been validated. Its necessity has been identified, but the decision has not been confirmed by authorized persons. This is an additional control step that occurs only if you consider approval required before validation.
- Validated: The quote is validated.
- Submitted: The quote is submitted to the customer. By clicking on the "Submit" transition, the quote is automatically formatted for transmission to the customer.
- To revise: The quote is under revision, with the goal of being accepted by the customer.
- Accepted: The quote is accepted by the customer.
- Rejected: The quote is rejected by the customer.
- Archived: The quote is archived, it will no longer be modified.
- Canceled: The quote has been permanently canceled, it can no longer be modified. This status is irreversible.
