This tab contains the list and detail of inventory lines in the prepared inventory.
Filter criterion
The following filter criterion may be applied to this list:
-
Lines inventoried: three-state check box to select which prepared inventory lines are displayed.
- Checked: display prepared inventory lines whose Quantity inventoried is entered.
- Unchecked: display prepared inventory lines whose Quantity inventoried is not entered.
- Intermediate (as default): displays all prepared inventory lines.
Changing the status of this check box automatically updates the list.
List of inventory lines
This list has the following columns:
-
[Closure/conflict indicator] (column without a name): This column displays an indicator icon. The icon displayed depends on the result of a closure attempt on the prepared inventory:
- If a conflict is detected on the current line when attempting to close the prepared inventory:
→ A warning icon
is displayed. Hovering over this icon displays a bubble help message explaining the reason for the conflict.
- If, on the other hand, the entire prepared inventory was successfully closed:
- If the current line generated a stock movement (reminder: lines for which the "Qty inventoried" is not entered do not generate any movements):
→ An icon
is displayed. Clicking on this icon redirects the user to the detail of the stock movement associated with the line.
- Warehouse: Warehouse affected by the prepared inventory line.
- Location: Location affected by the prepared inventory line.
- Item: Item affected by the prepared inventory line.
- Name: Name of the item affected by the prepared inventory line.
- Asset/Batch number: Asset or Batch number (if any) affected by the prepared inventory line item.
- Expiry: Expiry date of the batch (if any) affected by the prepared inventory line item.
- Qty recorded: Quantity recorded during the implementation of the prepared inventory (i.e., the quantity actually observed in inventory). May be entered for prepared inventory status values "Validated," "In progress" and "Paused."
- [Line comment] (column without a name): Comment associated with the prepared inventory line. May be entered for prepared inventory status values "In progress" and "Paused" (via the
icon).
Adding a prepared inventory line
While the status of the prepared inventory is "In preparation," the
button offers two actions for the user:
- Item search: this option shows the list of storage detail lines, enabling the user to make a selection with itemsas the entry point.
The list of storage detail lines is pre-filtered with the Warehouse code specified in the [General] tab (if this code is entered).
- Location search: this option shows the list of "Active" locations, enabling the user to make a selection with locations as the entry point.
The list of locations is pre-filtered with the Warehouse code specified in the [General] tab (if this code is entered).
In either of these add modes, the prepared inventory line(s) are added when the selection is validated; CARL Source checks as data is entered that there are no duplicates* that there are no identical Warehouse | Location | Item | Asset/Batch No." combinations in the list.
If the user wishes to add a prepared inventory line after the "In preparation" status, this must be done by duplicating lines (see below).
Duplicating a prepared inventory line
A line may only be duplicated if the prepared inventory status is "Validated" or "In progress."
Duplication can then be performed using the
button, subject to the following conditions:
- The user must select a single line to be duplicated (duplicating several lines is not authorized).
- Only lines relating to items that are serialized or managed in batches can be duplicated.
The duplicated line contains the Warehouse, Location and Item information from the original line; these fields remain read-only.
The other information on the line is set to an [empty] value and can be changed by the user.
Deleting a prepared inventory line
A line can be deleted only if the status of the prepared inventory is "In preparation."
For subsequent status values, if the user does not want to process a line, they can simply not enter a value in the Quantity recorded column.
→ a line whose Quantity recorded is [empty] will not be taken into account in Closure job.
