If your license stipulates MARS, NEPTUNE , JUPITER or SATURN, the CONTROL-S function is then included in the basic package.
Specific requirements for the standard connector
These requirements only relate to the case for standard connectors.
- Ensure that the CARL Source license effectively includes the Control-S function. The license can be viewed in the About CARL Source window.
- Ask the regulatory inspection service provider for an acceptance file with the operating data in csv or xml format.
- Configure a network path for the connection point of the CARL Source application.
- If the files (csv or xml) are to be retrieved from an SFTP server (your own or that of the service provider), you must have access to this server and be able to ensure exchanges with it.
Specific requirements for the dedicated connector
These requirements only relate to the case for connectors dedicated to SOCOTEC or Bureau Véritas.
- Ensure that the CARL Source license effectively includes the Control-S function. The license can be viewed in the About CARL Source window.
- From the same window, ensure that the SOCOTEC or BV add-on is included in the deployment (implicitly included if the Planet offer license is stipulated).
- Have access to the regulatory inspection service provider:
- Advantage platform (SOCOTEC) or DATA CONNECT platform (Bureau Véritas)
- The login and password for access to this SFTP server.
- The path and listening port of this SFTP server,
- Existence of an acceptance file with operating data on this SFTP server.
- Configure a network path for the connection point of the CARL Source application.
- Be able to ensure SFTP exchanges.
Access to this type of connection is in general not open as default.
You should therefore ask those responsible for your technical environment to ensure that access to the SFTP server of your regulatory inspection service provider is authorized on your network.
Prerequisites in CARL Source
Some prerequisites are also needed at the CARL Source application level.
- The "DIAG" work order type must be available and use the "Diagnostic" grouping.
- The ACTIONGROUP value list must contain the following value:
- code = CONTROL
- value = Diagnostic
- The "DOC-CONTROL-S" document type must be available.
- For SOCOTEC, the DOC-SOCOTEC type has been added.
- For Bureau Véritas, the DOC-BV type has been added.
- The "zip" format must be declared in the System configuration, UploadFileAllowedExtensions setting of the HMI section.
- For dedicated connectors (initially installed before version 7.2)
- For SOCOTEC, the SOCOTECPWODIAG WO template has been added.
- For Bureau Véritas, the BVPWODIAG WO template has been added.
For manual loading via standard connectors (of the APAVE, Dekra type, etc.), the connection point is required.
CARL Source temporarily stores the file to be imported in this connection point before processing it.
Service provider inspection
It is important to ensure that the service provider performing Regulatory Control inspections effectively reads the CARL Source codes:
- Equipment,
- for Geographic structure points.
If not, there will be no information related to CARL Source equipment.
All information noted by the inspector must be reported in the comment for CARL Source work order operations.
