You can access the list of linked documents from the detail form of nearly all the functions:
- either by using the
icon,
- or by viewing the "Linked documents" section present in the right-hand area of an entity's detail.
Prerequisites
- Be connected with a profile having the right to manage documents for the current function (see Profiles).
- To open the attachment: to have the application with which it was created.
Procedure via the linked documents icon
- Open the detail form.
- Click on the linked documents icon, which is highlighted if the list has at least one document.
→ The list of linked documents is displayed.
Displayed documents
It is possible to display documents linked to any entity referenced in the current entity.
For example, from a work order you can display documents linked to the work order template from which it was created, or those of the template to which the work order refers.
Only linked entities having documents are displayed.
- To change the list of documents displayed, select an entity or several entities, check or uncheck the Currently valid box, then click on the "Update" button"
→ The application refreshes the list and only displays documents corresponding to the entered criteria.
Viewing a document
- To open the attachment directly, click on the file name or URL on the list of documents. Depending on your browser, you can:
- Open the attachment in a new browser window,
- Open the attachment directly in the application recognized by the file extension,
- Save the attachment to a medium of your choice.
For security reasons, browsers do not allow local files to be opened.
With an attachment of the "File address" type, this document will thus not be able to be opened in the browser without changing its behavior using an extension:
These elements should be handled with caution as they open a security hole in the browser.
- For detailed information on the document, simply click on the document line.
→ The information is displayed in the detail pane; see Document [General].
Procedure via the "linked documents" section
The list of linked documents can also be viewed through the "Linked documents" section present in the right-hand area of an entity's detail, see Detail form.
