You can do this from the family tree structure.

 

Prerequisites

• To have created the items/templates to be associated with the family.

 

Procedure

1. In the [Equipment] module, select the [Equipment tree structure] function.
   → The tree structure display form is displayed; see Tree structure graph.
   
   
2. Select the [Families] tab
   → The family tree structure is displayed.
   
   
3. Open the tree structure until you find the family to which the item or template is to be assigned. Click on it in the tree structure.
   → The family appears in blue and additional actions are accessible.
   
   
4. On the actions menu, select "Add a child link."
   → Link editing is activated.
   
   
5. Select the ITEM structure and then select or enter an item in the "Item" field.
   
   
6. You may enter a comment, then confirm by clicking on the confirm icon .
   → The tree structure is updated with the new item.
