An external system is an application that exchanges data with CARL Source.

• Several interfaces for data exchanges can be defined for an external system.
• The technical settings for communication with the application are specified in the connection point.

 

Managing the list of external systems

1. In the [System] module, select the [External systems] function.
   → The list of external systems is displayed.
   
   
2. If desired, select the [Criteria] tab, enter the search criteria and click the [Results] tab.
   → The list of external systems corresponding to the criteria is displayed.
   
   
3. Click on the system to be changed or directly create a new system by clicking on the add icon .
   → The detail form of the external system is displayed; see External system [General].
