The connection point describes the means of communication between CARL Source and the applications with which data exchanges are defined.
A connection point is defined by:
- A connection manager or "Handler" supplied as standard by CARL Source or developed for a specific need,
- The values of the handler settings.
The same connection point can be used for several external systems.
Managing the list of connection points
- Place the cursor in the [System] module and select [Connection points] from the [Exchange] section.
→ The list of connection points is displayed.
- Click on the connection point to be changed or directly create a new point by clicking on the add icon
.
→ The detail form of the connection point is displayed; see External system [General].
