Entering occupations

In the case of an occupation for a work order, making the entry is the same whether done:

• in this function,
• from the work order or work order report, "labor" theme (see Work order [Completed] [Labor]),
• from the Work order or work order report, "Operation" theme (see Work order [Completed] [Operation]).

But the occupation can only be linked to an operation in the first case.

 

Time verification

If the main time verification setting is enabled, when you validate entered occupations, CARL Source verifies that the total time entered for a technician in a day does not exceed the cumulative time of the time ranges indicated in his/her calendar (see Using the calendar).

 

Example

On 7 June, the technician has the following ranges in their calendar:

• WORK range from 8 am to 12 noon, therefore available,
• TRAINING range from 2 pm to 5 pm, therefore not available. (See Calendar availability)

 

The types of occupation are:

• CLEAN-UP: Availability verification,
• MEETING: Availability verification,
• TRAINING: Unavailability verification. (See Occupation type).

 

For this technician, occupations on 7 June can be, for example:

• 2 hours for work order,
• 1 hour for another work order,
• 1 hour of MEETING occupation,
• 3 hours of TRAINING occupation.

It will not be possible to enter an additional hour of CLEAN-UP for the day of 7 June.
However, it is possible to enter only 0.5 hours of meeting. There will therefore be 0.5 hours of availability devoted to no occupation.
