In any form which includes a list, CARL Source enables you to assign a given value to a set of records.
Procedure
- Selecting lines to be exported:
- If you do not check any lines, all the lines on the list will be updated.
- If you only wish to change certain lines, check the box to the left of each line to be updated.
- In the actions menu for the list
, select the [Bulk update] action.
→ The application displays a dialogue box.
- Select the attribute to modify, then the new value to be assigned to the records.
- Click on the "Confirm" button.
→ The application asks you for confirmation then updates the data and refreshes the display.
Number of lines updated
The number of lines updated may be less than the number of lines you selected.
This implies that some lines could not be changed:
- Either because their status does not allow this (e.g. a cancelled work order or a closed order),
- Or because you do not have sufficient rights to modify the line, due to the organization groups or restricted access groups of which you are a member.
Attributes available
Attributes which require a control when their value is modified, or which potentially trigger application processing, are not offered in the list.
These attributes must be updated one element at a time.
