The scheduling allows for graphical handling and interactions to facilitate resource management.

Creating a scheduled activity by graphic movement

You can graphically schedule user activities with basket work orders via drag & drop:

Select a work order tile from the basket and keep the mouse button pressed.
Move the mouse: A graphical copy of the tile follows the cursor to indicate that the work order has been taken into account to create a linked activity.
Once the cursor is positioned on the resource at the desired date/time, release the tile.
The system creates a work order activity for the resource in the selected row. A detail pop-up is opened in order to change and confirm the creation.
The offered initialization time is deduced from several items of information available in a priority order:
- Period entered in the changed resource line (see tip below).
- Default period entered for the initial period of an activity/work order type for the changed work order.
- Default duration of an activity in the scheduling of resources, entered in the module settings.

When the activity creation pop-up is confirmed, a resource line is created or changed accordingly. The information contained in the tile is updated if necessary.

When an activity is created in the schedule, a resource line is created with the specific resource, a date and a period.

However, if there is an unscheduled resource line on the affected work order and the information of which may correspond to the activity created, the system then takes the resource line into account and changes it instead of adding a line. The activity information generated from the schedule is reconciled according to the following priorities:

Same resource code?
Same team and discipline?
Same discipline?
Same team?
Resource line with only one time (which is then taken for the initialization of the activity on its creation)?

The consistency between the scheduled resources (technician/material resource) initialized on a work order and the resources (technician/material resource) that are actually assigned to that work order can be checked through the scheduling of resources.

The control level can be configured globally via the module settings as well as individually via the communication settings.

Highlighting of activities

You can view the activities over the displayed period in the scheduling of a specific work order. Simply select a work order tile.
All the work order activities in the schedule will be highlighted. The rest of the activities will be set back at the display level.

To deselect a tile, simply press Ctrl + mouse click on the selected work order.

Pre-initialized activity creation directly in the schedule

You can quickly create several activities directly in the scheduling for a work order.

Select a work order tile from the basket with one click: the tile is selected.
Double-click on a location in the resource line where you want to add an activity for the work order. (Or if the focus is on a box in the schedule, the "enter" key allows you to trigger the initialization of an activity).
A pop-up entry for the activity to be created is displayed, initialized with the previously selected work order and the time initialized according to the priorities described above.
After confirmation, the user only needs to continue creating activities to initialize them with the work order and the initialized time for the work order.

You can use the shortcuts Ctrl+C (copy) and CTRL+V (paste) to duplicate the activity in the same work order even faster.

Graphic handling

When you are on the graphical part of the schedule, you can graphically move the activities on the same line or a different line. However, the resource type must remain the same. This handling will result in a change to the work order's scheduled resource line.

When the user moves a work order tile or an existing activity on the scheduling part, a graphical help display is superimposed.
The schedule automatically greys out the days that are not included in the work order time frame (excluding the start/end date). However, it is not forbidden to create an activity on a date outside the time frame specified for the work order.

When the action is finished, this layer disappears.

You can also use the mouse to select several columns of a resource, which will result in the initialization of an activity. When the mouse button is released, a pop-up window is displayed to initialize the activity in order to save the desired activity.

Ephemeral system messages may appear on the right side of the screen to confirm actions performed using keyboard shortcuts or the configuration application.

Details of activity

When you double-click on a part of the schedule, a pop-up for creating an activity is displayed to fill in and save this new activity.

Double-clicking on an activity opens the activity detail pop-up.

Keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts allow faster actions in the browsing and handling of scheduling items:

Alt + 1 (2, 3, 4 or 5): switch to the available views of the schedule.
Ctrl + Left/Right: move from one period to another.
Ctrl + Up/Down: vertically scroll through the schedule when the vertical scroll bar is present.
Ctrl + C / Ctrl + X / Ctrl + V: copy/cut/paste activities.
Enter: go to the details of the selected activity.
Ctrl + Enter: create an activity and open the details for entry.
Up/Down arrow: vertically scroll through the schedule when the vertical scroll bar is present.
Left/Right arrow: moves the focus from one box of the schedule to another.
E / Shift+E: selection of activities in chronological or anti-chronological order.
Home: display of the current period.
Delete: deletes the selected activity, with a confirmation.
