The purpose of this page is to define the functional rules for sending e-mails through dedicated actions.
Principle:
Actions allowing the direct sending of e-mails are available from the forms [Lists], [Details], and through customization by means of a [Control button].
These actions allow the sending of an email based on the message templates associated with the function.
When the user launches one of these actions, a window proposes to use the default message template. However, other message templates can be selected.
General remarks on sending e-mails linked to a message template:
- A profile node (System/Profile/CARL Source/Global -> Sending of customized e-mails) allows you to authorize the sending of an email, or otherwise. If the user does not have sufficient rights, they do not have access to the actions involved in sending e-mails.
- A configuration setting (System/System Configuration/Email tab -> mail.attachmentsMaxSize) allows you to define the size limit allowed for attachments (in MB). If this value is exceeded, the email will not be sent. The error and the cause of the problem will then be tracked in View failed emails.
If there is no message template associated with the function, no email sending actions are offered to users.
