Resources can be allocated in several ways. Several examples of how to allocate resources to work orders are given below:
Case 1: Scheduling of required resources

Here, we consider the case of work orders where the planned labor and the required material resources have been specified prior to scheduling of the work order activities. In this case, a scheduler has to schedule their team. The user accesses the scheduling directly from the application menu.
- The user selects the "week" view for the desired scheduling period with the desired team.
→ The scheduling zone is displayed for the desired period with the activities of the resources.
- The scheduler enables the basket synchronization to view the scheduled work orders.
→ Work orders the timeframe of which covers the displayed period are included in the basket.
- The scheduler can add a custom filter from the list of work orders. He can also choose to filter the work orders according to scheduling indicators such as "Resource(s) to be assigned" and "Current assignment," and sort the display by "Scheduling indicator."
→ Work orders are filtered and sorted accordingly.
- The scheduler can view the remaining resource lines to be allocated via the resource indicator information on the
tiles. It then adds the work order activities accordingly to match the schedule.
→ The system updates the corresponding resource lines or creates new ones if required.
- When all resource rows are scheduled, the tile information is updated:
→ The tile's color strip will change to the color corresponding to the "Pending confirmation " indicator. Note that the tile, despite the new scheduling indicator not matching the filter indicators, does not disappear automatically so as not to lose the recently updated data.
→ The resource information at the bottom of the tile has been updated and indicates that all lines are scheduled.
- The user can at any time confirm the scheduling of the work order from the tile action or from the basket header action.
→ The data "To be scheduled" is updated to No.
→ In the case of the CARL Touch Add-on, only at this time will the work order be sent to the devices concerned.
Access from the details of a work order with anticipated resources
Here we take the case of opening the scheduling of resources from the details of a work order.
- The user opens the scheduling of resources by selecting the corresponding action in the action menu
from the work order details containing at least one technician resource or material resource entered.
→ Scheduling of resources is open with an "Anticipated resources" resources grouping line, and the other groupings closed.
- The user selects the "week" view for the desired scheduling period with the desired team.
→ The scheduling zone is displayed for the desired period with the activities of the resources. The basket only contains the start work order.
- The scheduler can then view the remaining resource lines to be allocated via the resource indicator information on the
tiles. It then adds the work order activities accordingly to match the schedule.
→ The system updates the corresponding resource lines or creates new ones if required.
- When all resource rows are scheduled, the tile information is updated:

- The scheduler can then cancel the resource filter on the basket by clicking on the basket filter label.
→ Work orders are again filtered only with the basket filter.
Case 2: Work order scheduling without anticipated resources

- The user selects the "week" view for the desired scheduling period with the desired team.

- The scheduler enables the basket synchronization to view the scheduled work orders.
→ Work orders the timeframe of which covers the displayed period are included in the basket.
- The scheduler can add a custom filter from the list of work orders. He can also choose to filter the work orders according to the scheduling indicator such as "Resource(s) to be assigned" and "sort the display by "Scheduling indicator."
→ Work orders are filtered and sorted accordingly.
- The scheduler can then view the remaining resource lines to be allocated via the resource indicator information on the tiles: here (0). It then adds the work order activities accordingly to match the schedule.
→ The application creates new scheduled anticipated resources lines if necessary.
- When at least one activity is scheduled, the tile information is updated:
