Exchange rate [Results]
Purchasing > Currencies > Exchange rate > Exchange rate [Results]

This form is used to declare the conversion rates between the various currencies in the application.

In practice, if you only have one context currency, the only useful rates are those between this context currency and other currencies.

For information on how to use exchange rates, see Exchange rates.

Principle

Source currency

In general, you will express the exchange rates against the context currency.
It is therefore always the context currency that will be entered in the source currency.

Changes in the exchange rate

Any modification in the value of the exchange rate will be tracked.

As a result, if you wish to modify a rate value, the application will create a new line to keep a history of the old value, the expiration date of which will be the entry date of the new value.

You can also enter a new line with the same source and target currencies and a new conversion value, which will automatically cause the old value to expire.
