Entering an Asset

The entry of an Asset triggers a job to search for the main parent, the location parent, and the referrer of the indicated asset.

→ If they exist, they are returned in the "Location point," "Main point," and "Referrer asset" fields of the work order.

→ If the Asset does not have a link to one of these items of equipment, the corresponding field is not affected and keeps the value that it had before the item was filled in.

→ If the Asset is changed, the "Location point," "Main point" and "Template" fields are updated if necessary.

  1. The Referrer is the first Asset checked "referrer" in the ascendants of the Asset.

  2. Only Assets in the "Validated", "Undergoing overhaul", "Faulty" state are authorized.

A "workCategory" field for a work order is influenced by the entry of an Asset with an equipment type. It can be added to work order forms as required.

The value in the workCategory list is automatically initialized with the asset equipment type group, but only if this value exists in the list of available Work categories.
This allows you to search for a work order with the same value as the equipment type group for the asset entered, for easy of searching.

Entering a main point

Entering a Main point in the "Equipment" section of a work order triggers a search for the location parent of the main point.

→ If there is a location parent, it will be returned in the Location point field of the work order, even if the location field had previously been filled in.

→ If the selected Main point does not have a location parent, the Location point field will not be impacted and will retain its value.

  1. Entering a Main point has no impact on the "Asset" field of the work order.

  2. A main point entered directly must necessarily:
    • have a "Validated" status,
    • have the "Work orders authorized" check box enabled.

Entering a Location point

Entering a Location point for a work order has no impact on the "Asset" and "Main point" fields.

A location point entered directly must necessarily:

Concerning the behavior of the "Template" field of the "Equipment" section of a work order, it is automatically updated if the selected entity (Asset, Main point, Location point) is associated with a template.
However, if the selected entity is not characterized by a template, the template field in the equipment section of the work order will never be updated and will thus retain its value.

Manual deletion of the value filled in in one of the "Equipment" section fields will not impact the values in the other fields, which are kept.

Template

The "Equipment" section template is automatically updated when the selected equipment (Asset, Main point, or location point) is associated with a template.
However, if the selected equipment is not characterized by a Template, the "Template" field is not overwritten if it had been filled in.

Family

The family of the "Equipment" section is filled in with the template family.
However, if the template is not associated with a Family, the "Family" field is not written over if it had been filled in.

Deleting

Manual deletion of the value filled in in one of the Equipment section fields will not impact the values filled in in the other fields.
