Equipment import

This feature allows you to import equipment (Structure Points, Assets, Sites, Buildings) from a BIM model (IFC2x3 or IFC4), an Xml file, a CSV file, or a Zip file.

For a BIM import, data loading in this feature is done through the CARLLoader IFC tool.

For a Zip import, data loading in this feature is done from a file generated by the Draw2DB-SaaS platform (processing of Dwg plans). In addition to importing the equipment, this process will create the plan and associated styles.

This feature allows you to create, update, or delete equipment as well as the associated hierarchy.

The loading of a hierarchy can be total or partial. By entering the Starting level parameter in the synchronization Job, it is possible to import part of the hierarchy into CARL Source. The starting level is then considered as the highest level of this hierarchy. All equipment present in the feature and located above the starting level are excluded from the process.

If this parameter is not specified, then all equipment is taken into account in the process.

This feature also allows you to import occupants and assign them to FM objects (Buildings, Rooms, etc.).
