Each CARL Source license can have an expiration date and a warning date.
These two items of information, if they exist, are taken into account when checking the license.
Expiration date reached
- When the expiration date of the license is reached, the message "License expired on DD/MM/YYYY" is displayed in the header panel of the application.
More information is then available by clicking on this message.
Expiration date not reached
- If a warning date is specified in the license file, the message "The license will expire on DD/MM/YYYY" is displayed in the application header panel with effect from this date.
- If a warning date is not specified, the message "The license will expire on DD/MM/YYYY" is displayed in the application header panel for 15 days prior to the expiration date of the license.
More information is then available by clicking on this message.
- Until the expiration date is reached, the application functions as normal.
