You can create a PO from the PO and purchase request functions.

Prerequisites

• Purchase requests of order lines must have a status of "To be processed."

Procedure

Simple creation

1. In the [Purchasing] module, select the [PO] function.
   → The list of POs is displayed.
   
   
2. Click on the add icon .
   → The PO entry form is displayed.

Creation by duplication

In this case the contents of all the tabs will be initialized in the created PO with those of the duplicated PO.
This information is modifiable as long as the PO has not been issued.

1. In the [Purchasing] module, select the [PO] function.
   → The list of POs is displayed.
   
   
2. If desired, select the [Criteria] tab, enter the search criteria and click the [Results] tab.
   → The list of POs corresponding to your criteria is displayed.
   
   
3. Check the order to be duplicated and then select "Duplicate" on the add icon menu..
   → The order entry form is displayed and the data is filled in with those of the duplicated order.

Automatic creation

If the user profile authorizes the creation of purchases from work orders, POs may be created automatically during the validation of a work order; see Work order [Completed] [Supply].

Creation from one or more purchase requests

You can ask CARL Source to generate a PO or POs from the purchase request.
CARL Source will generate an order by supplier (a single one if the supplier is identical for all PRL) that will contain the order lines corresponding to the purchase lines.

1. In the [Purchasing] module, select the [Purchase requests] function.
   → The list of PRs is displayed.
   
   
2. If desired, select the [Criteria] tab, enter the search criteria (in order to display PRs to be converted into POs) and click the [Results] tab.
   → The PRs corresponding to your criteria are displayed.
   
   
3. Check the PRs to be converted into POs, then select "Convert into order" on the action menu.
   → POs are generated for the PRs with a status of "To be processed."

POs are created with order/PR lines grouped by identical Contract period (if necessary) and then by supplier.
