This tab is accessible from the About CARL Source page.

License information can be consulted and updated in this tab.

• License expiry: License expiry date.
• Name: Name of the license.
• License enabled by: Code of the Agent who loaded the license file.
• On: Date on which the license file was loaded.

Updating the license

This action is accessible in the License tab.

Prerequisites

To update the license, you must:

• Have the "Updating license" right in your user profile,
• Have a valid license file, which can be downloaded from the support site or sent via the CARL Berger-Levrault Hotline.

Procedure

• On the [License] tab of the "About CARL Source" window, click on the "Select file" button."
  → The browser displays a file search window.

• Select the license file and click on the "Send" button."
  → CARL Source downloads the file and checks the license.
  If the license is valid, the following message is displayed: "Your license has been imported; please log in again to refresh the message in the bar.."

Activating a license in advanced mode generates a confirmation message, including a reminder that you must be fully aware of the functional and technical implications (system module training and assistance from CARL support) in order to ensure application security and performance.

Furthermore, all changes to the License object are recorded in the View logs function.

License in advanced mode

Advanced mode affects the following three features:

1. Workflow
2. Dictionary
3. Form customization

Advanced mode gives access to additional customization features.

Advanced customization relating to workflows

• Create or duplicate a workflow,
• Delete a workflow,
• Add statuses and transitions,
• Change the Family on statuses and transitions,
• Change the "Initial", "Change" and "Delete" check boxes.

Advanced customization relating to the dictionary

• Access to the "Duplication possible" check box,
• Access to the Status workflow field,
• Access to the Listening service(s) field,
• Create or duplicate attributes on entities (except on search objects),
• Configure "No. of characters" in the [Value] zone of an attribute,
• Access to the "Unique" check box in the [Checks] zone of an attribute,
• Access to the "Required" check box in the [Checks] zone of an attribute,
• Access to the Index tab.

Advanced customization related to form customization

• Access to the Script tab,
• In the Style tab, configure the following fields:
  "Identifier," "By default," "List," "Refresh zones," "Class," "Displayed," "Read only," and "Required."
