The data model is defined as a structured, filtered representation of the data. It allows users to create a dataset according based on their needs, without requiring any particular knowledge of SQL. It comprises a header and two sub-tabs: Data, Filter.
HEADER
- Data model (required): Identifier of the data model, unique in the application.
- Name (required): Template name.
- Detailed name: BI data model detailed name.
- Primary business object: CARL Source entity on which the data model is based. All the objects of the "Entity" category dictionary are proposed.
- Standard: Indicates whether the list is provided with CARL Source. Cannot be changed.
- API URL: the URL of the API that provides access to the selected dataset. It is automatically generated once the data model has been created. While a copy button is available next to the URL, it will only work if your CARL Source server is accessible via a secure protocol (HTTPS). If HTTPS is not set up on your server, the browser will refuse permission to copy the URL.
- Organization: Model organization.
- Status: Data model status.
- Theme: Grouping of data models on the same topic.

This tab is used to define the elements to be incorporated in the data model.
The proposed attributes are associated with themain business domain chosen.
When an attribute is selected from the left hand list, it is automatically added to the [Data] table on the right hand side:
- Original attribute: Refers to the attribute path, which indicates the successive entities through which you have passed to find the Automatically repatriated - Non-modifiable attribute.

The proposed attributes are associated with themain business domain chosen.
- Initialize with filter: Option to automatically retrieve the criteria from the selected filter.
When an attribute is selected from the left hand list, it is automatically added to the [Criteria] table on the right hand side:
- Attribute: Internal identifier of the CARL Source attribute - retrieved automatically.
- Name: Name of the attribute, can be changed.
- Infozone: If the value is to be selected from an existing list.
- Group: For a collection called several times, see Filter.
- Mult: To be checked if the criterion authorizes multiple value choices.
- Operator: Type of comparison between the desired value and the value entered for the criterion.
-
Magnifying glass icon: Select:
- Either an attribute or a date expression, for date and/or time criteria.
- Or an attribute, for criteria of any other type (attribute compatible with the criterion type, e.g. a numeric attribute if the criterion is a number).
