Error/alert/information panels

In the list and detail forms, various types of panels can be displayed as headers to inform the user of any requirements or needs CARL Source may have.

Error panels

The error panel is displayed to indicate:

that an action is not feasible (for example, setting a item of equipment to an unauthorized state),
required information is missing (for example, not entering a code when an item is created).

Alert panels

The alert panel is displayed to indicate:

that there is an inconsistency in the data entered,

Information panels

The information panel is displayed to indicate:

that a process is running and the page has to be refreshed to obtain up-to-date data,
that one entity inherits data from another entity,
...
