CARL Source offers a configurable audit function, which consists in keeping a record of all changes made to data that you consider sensitive.

In this way, depending on what you have configured in the Dictionary with each line addition, deletion, or change for this data, the user, date, and content of the change are stored and accessible with the [Consulting records] function.

Example

You wish to keep a record of changes made to the addressees and symptoms of work requests.
Since the volume of WRs is large and organization is segmented, you wish to have criteria for filtering and finding changes more easily.

Set the audit settings in the dictionary

  1. In the Dictionary, open the WR/Work request object.
  2. On the [General] tab:
  1. On the [Attributes] tab, for the attributes to be tracked (addressee and symptom):
In order to also track WR creations and deletions, even when no symptom or addressee is filled in, also check the "Insertion" and "Deletion" boxes for a required attribute (for example: "Code").

Changes

Users create, change, or delete urgent work requests.
For each insertion, deletion, or WR insertion, and for each change of the addressee or symptom, CARL Source enters a line in the audit table.
